pH TEST KIT (LIQUID)

pH is the measure of acidity or alkalinity of a solution.  The neutral point is pH 7. The pH scale is logarithmic whereby each unit of measure represents the change in acidity to a factor of 10.  This means that a reading of pH 5 is 10 times more acidic than pH 6 and 100 times more than pH 7.

pH solution should always be in the range of 5.5 to 6.2 to allow plants access to nutrients at the correct ratio.

To use the liquid pH test kit, half fill the supplied test tube with the solution to be tested and add one drop of the reagent and the solution will change colour.  Hold the solution to the chart provided and you will now know the pH of the solution.
